A Special and Unique Invitation
Until the 8th of September, this retreat is being offered exclusively to those who have already journeyed with Fr Dominic through Christ-Like Listening, a previous Individually Guided Retreat or the Made for More retreat.
Over the years, many participants have expressed a desire to go deeper in prayer, discernment, and their relationship with God. This retreat is designed as a next step in that journey.
Because of the personal nature of the Spiritual Exercises and the limited number of places available, this invitation is being shared privately before being opened to the general public.
RETREAT Details
The Retreat
This 12-day retreat offers a guided introduction to the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola, covering both the Introduction and Week One of the Exercises.
Designed for those who desire a deeper relationship with God, this retreat combines prayer, reflection, silence, and spiritual direction within a structured yet personal journey of discernment.
Each day includes:

5–7 periods of personal prayer (approximately one hour each) using Scripture and Ignatian methods of prayer

5–7 periods of personal reflection and journaling

One hour of daily group instruction and formation

A personal spiritual direction session (approximately 40 minutes)

Printed retreat materials

Complete silence throughout the retreat, including during meals
Participants are encouraged to keep a detailed journal and record the movements of prayer, insights, questions, consolations, and challenges that arise throughout the retreat.
The atmosphere of silence creates a sacred space where participants can become more attentive to God's voice and more aware of His action in their lives.
Many people describe the Spiritual Exercises as one of the most transformative experiences of their lives—a journey of healing, freedom, discernment, and a deeper encounter with Christ.
Participants who have already completed Week One with Fr Dominic may choose to continue with Week Two of the Spiritual Exercises.
Retreat Director
Fr. Dominic holds a Doctorate in Spiritual Theology and a Diploma in Spiritual Counselling from the Teresianum Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Rome.
He has guided more than 100 people through the full Ignatian Spiritual Exercises and has developed his own retreat materials based on his theological studies, formation, and experience of accompanying people in prayer and discernment.
Christ-like Listening Formation
If you have completed the Christ-like Listening formation, this retreat is a natural next step in your journey. While Christ-like Listening helps you accompany others with the heart of Christ, the Individually Guided Retreat allows Christ to accompany you in a deeply personal way.
Many participants discover that this retreat takes everything they learned in Christ-like Listening to a new level. It deepens their relationship with God, strengthens their ability to listen to the Holy Spirit, and brings greater freedom, clarity, and confidence to their ministry. It is often a life-changing experience that transforms not only how we listen to others, but also how we listen to God and respond to His invitation each day.
Priority Registration for Former Participants
As a previous participant, you are invited to register before the public launch at the special rate of $1,200 CAD.
Participants who register by 8 September 2026 will retain this special rate, even though the retreat takes place in November.

After paying the deposit, participants will receive an email with instructions regarding payment of the remaining balance.

Exceptional Value
A comparable 12-day individually guided Ignatian retreat in Canada would typically cost between $1,800 and $1,950 CAD, while similar retreats in the United States often exceed $2,700 CAD.
This retreat is being offered to former participants for only $1,200 CAD, including accommodation, meals, daily spiritual direction, silence, and retreat materials.
This represents a saving of approximately $600–$1,500 CAD compared with many similar programs in North America.
This special rate has been made possible through the generosity of many people involved in making this retreat available.
The committee of Between the Hearts is generously providing the accommodation at a reduced cost, Mrs Jean Webster is offering to prepare the meals without charge, and Fr. Dominic is offering this retreat at a significantly reduced rate compared with what would normally be expected for someone with his formation and experience.

Public Registration
The special registration rate of $1,200 CAD is available to invited former participants who complete registration by 8 September 2026.
After this date, any remaining places will be offered at the standard reduced rate of $1,350 CAD. This new rate will apply to all registrations, including invited participants who have not secured their place by the deadline.
